Struggling to Write?
Writing is something which can come naturally for some and be similar to pulling teeth for others. The great thing about writing is, the more you write, the more you’ll write. This continuity of maintaining a schedule and sticking to it will allow you to see great progress with your writing and will ultimately allow you to be the best version of yourself you can be, from a writing perspective. So if you’re struggling to write, read this insight for some inspiration and you’ll be able to crank out amazing content as you’ve never done before!
“10×10 Method” Explained…
The “10×10 Method” is something we at DASH-SEO love to do for our clients and ourselves. It involves writing ten pieces of content per day for ten days straight. This process will yield a total number of one-hundred posts. This is more than enough content to manage and distribute throughout a variety of platforms for the next few months, and it was all completed in just ten days! Trust us, it will be hellish for the first three days. However, don’t lose faith. Once you’ve surpassed the feeling of your mind, body, and soul rejecting the process of producing so much content, you’ll find yourself engulfed in a feeling of bliss and automation. You will become one with the keyboard and have such a strong sense of pride, you’ll be unable to look back and give up. You’ll be so focused and have a strong sense of accomplishment, you’ll need to complete the task at hand.
Continuous Momentum
Once you pass up day four, you’ll find the continuous momentum taking place throughout your body and running through your veins. You will taste the finish line of the “10×10 Method” and you’ll have forty posts to reflect on for a brief moment. This should already be something to be immensely proud of. Yet, it won’t be enough at this point because you’ll find your drive and sense of accomplishment to be overwhelmed with a hunger to do more, to produce more, to create more, to be more. This is similar to a “runner’s high” and you will feel nothing but success. So keep going! You can do it!
Productivity Helps Creativity
A lot of creative blocks are due to fear. Fear of judgement, fear of failure, fear of nothing sometimes. To conquer this fear, it’s best to just not even care about the outcome and focus on just having fun and doing this whole process for yourself. This is usually when your best worm shines through and you have feel-good endorphins from being productive which will allow you to have a strike of creativity once again. This can in turn be a beautiful, vicious cycle which has the potential to change your life for the better, ten-fold.
Shoot for 800 Words Minimum
You may be reading this header and saying to yourself; “800 words?!”, but don’t fret. 800 words is easy when broken down into sub-sections and divided up by h2s. Let’s say you’re attempting to write 800 words and it feels overwhelming, daunting, even downright scary. If you break up those 800 words into five chunks, you’ll find each chunk of the content only has to consist of 160 words. That is simply a decent-sized paragraph. If you can crank out each chunk in five minutes, you’ll have written an eight-hundred word post in just twenty-five minutes. How about that?!
It Will Become Second Nature
All in all, the main goal of this post is to systematically break down the process of writing and show you that the big, bad beast which is the process of writing isn’t so bad after all. It’s all about setting big goals and achieving them. When you achieve big goals, you’ll feel feelings you’ve never felt before. You may even turn into a workaholic of sorts. Completing tasks truly becomes one of the most addictive feelings imaginable. The feeling of crossing off an item from your list, erasing a “to-do” off your whiteboard, or submitting a “complete” notification to your team members on your trello board. It doesn’t matter what the form of crossing the task off your list is, what’s important is the act of doing it. This will all culminate into a new extension of your very being and continue to help you grow as a writer, a SEO, and a person.
